Atal Innovation Mission is a program under the Indian Government’s flagship. This initiative was put forward to make India more innovative from an entrepreneurial perspective. All brand-new policies are developed by AIM under this program to foster the growth of the economy and distinct sector of India as a developing country. AIM has already taken a few initiatives for the betterment of the Indian economy, namely- Atal Tinkering Labs, Atal New India Challenges, Atal Incubation Centers, Mentor India Campaign, and ARISE. All these are meant for distinct benefits, like- to create a problem-solving mind in schools, promoting advanced products in distinct sectors, and stimulating innovation all over India. Atal Incubation Center
New incubation centers are supported by the AIC program and are fully facilitated to foster the growth of innovation with the installation of required physical infrastructure & operating facilities. To avail the benefits of this scheme, you ought to be an educational institution, corporate sectors, SEBI, business accelerators, etc, and should possess 10, 000 sq ft, space for the use of AIC. You can receive a grant of up to Rs 10 Crore to fully establish AIC at your center.
Atal Tinkering labs
The next initiative is meant to create innovators by establishing Atal Tinkering Labs in distinct education centers and schools in India. The main idea is to bring the best creativity of each child to the table, it can be anything from computational thinking, design mindset, and adaptive learning. This program highly promotes the concepts of STEM i.e. Science, Technology, Math, and Engineering, and the concept of doing it yourself. Private trusts, local bodies, or VI-X grade schools (government or non-government) are eligible to apply for ATL. They can receive a grant of Rs 20 lakhs for a maximum of 5 years for each ATL.
Atal Community Innovation Center
This is another sub-program of AIM that focuses on driving the whole country on the route of innovation. It is highly promoted in the areas that completely or partially lack innovation. Voluntary organizations, Colleges, Universities of those backward areas are eligible to avail the benefits of the Atal Community Innovation Center. This program provides a grant of up to 2.5 Crore but the educational establishment has to keep up with all the rules and regulations of the program.
Mentor of Change Program
This strategic initiative engages leaders and brings them together to guide students about the different programs of AIM. They need to spend 1-2 hours every week in such labs and help the students for developing computational thinking and arising a spark for innovation & technology. If you are an enabler instead of an instructor- you are more than welcome in the Mentor of Change Program.
Atal New India Challenge (ANIC)
Another sub-program of AIM is ANIC in which there is are distinct innovation solutions are provided. These solutions are helpful for overall livelihood requirements, like- health, hygiene, housing, and water. There are 24 challenges that are launched with the five ministries and departments of the Indian central government. This program is meant for those who possess innovative ideas and ready to come forward to help to overcome these challenges.
Aatmanirbhar Bharat ARISE
This national-level scheme is meant for the promotion of Indian startups and products. The idea is to use Indian made products and proudly say “Make in India”. This is how the startups of India will receive an edge and utmost importance from the people of India.
